OHSAS 18001.
Occupational Health and Safety certification
Do you have offices in several countries? If so, then you have to deal with an assortment of legislation pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety. Fortunately, the national criteria in Europe are becoming more and more similar. The 18001 Standard is the result of the effort KEMA has put into more harmonization in the area of occupational health and safety. By introducing an OHSAS system, you can demonstrate that you employ a proactive system to reduce absenteeism and accidents and to provide insight into the competence of personnel.
As of now you can more easily comply internationally with the legislative criteria regarding accidents, absenteeism, competence, and working conditions. Anyone that takes responsible entrepreneurship, transparency, and steadfast concern for working conditions seriously, automatically winds up with the KEMA OHSAS 18001 certification. This certification proves that you have your occupational health and safety affairs in order. KEMA helps you with dedicated audits attuned to the processes within your organization. Anyone that complies with OHSAS 18001 can subsequently demonstrate that fact with our internationally recognized certificate.
National working conditions, regulatory procedures, and international developments
Certification according to OHSAS 18001 has been possible since 1999. KEMA has already issued dozens of certificates worldwide in accordance with OHSAS 18001. KEMA helps you achieve maximum effect with minimum effort. The OHSAS 18001 helps you systematize your operation by setting the right priorities. During the harmonization process, KEMA ensured a connection with the recognized systems: ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 9001. This facilitates the possible integration of the Occupational Health and Safety System into your existing management systems. The criteria in the (KEMA) OHSAS 18001 cover the BS 8800 and the Dutch Directive NPR 5001. The Dutch Accreditation Council has indicated that it plans to recognize this standard. KEMA will be part of the first group of accredited certifying organizations.
KEMA has local auditors and a global network at its disposal. This means we can also certify your foreign locations. KEMA is flexible and focuses as much as possible on your operation. It holds true for all the certification trajectories that KEMA is accommodating and takes your planning and procedures into consideration. It goes without saying that this is never at the expense of our thoroughness and independent judgment.
