How to Check the Validity of a Certificate

Once all the tests necessary for type tests have been completed succesfully, KEMA issues a Type Test Certificate for the relevant appliance type. Several categories of certificate are issued depending on the nature of the tests performed.

With the manufacturer's consent, KEMA can include the certificate in the List of Type test Certificates published on our website.

The list enables end users to check whether a particular product is certified and whether a certificate, shown by a manufacturer, was actually issued by KEMA. However, because of inclusion in the list in the list is at the manufacturer's discretion, absence from the list does not imply that a certificate is false. KEMA wishes to stress that, in case of doubt, claims of the Type Test Certificates can easily be verified by contacting KEMA.
