T&D Equipment & Systems
Adequate condition assessment and monitoring of T&D equipment enables you to determine effective strategies and procedures
Power equipment such as turbines, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, cables and overhead lines represent a major capital investment in power stations and grids. With a high duty-cycle, or repeated short duration overloading, aging and wear of such components can be appreciable. In practice, however, many components perform well even after their economic lifetime has expired. As a result, extension of service life is a serious option to reduce investment costs. On the other hand, life extension may increase the probability of failure, depending on the operation and maintenance practice. Adequate condition assessment and monitoring enables you to determine effective strategies and procedures for operation, maintenance and replacement, thereby controlling potential risks.
