Residential energy services.
Strengthening customer relationships while saving energy
Successful, customer-focused residential programs build trust
Every interaction with a customer is an opportunity to build a strong relationship. Utilities and other DSM program providers can create a lasting positive experience by providing energy management and safety services in the homes of their customers. An in-home program creates a memorable experience with customers that cannot be matched via the phone, mail, Internet, or other media channel.
In-home programs are most effective at:
identifying safety concerns and energy-saving opportunities
achieving high customer satisfaction
achieving savings from the installation of low cost measures
providing for effective interactive customer education and marketing.
Experience delivering trusted and effective residential programs
KEMA has been active in the residential home energy audit business for over 30 years. We have long standing relationships with both municipal and investor-owned utilities across the country and use our proprietary software to assess electric, natural gas, and water savings measures. KEMA personnel also staff community events to provide energy advice, promote utility programs, and distribute low-cost measures.
We deliver these audits using a variety of mediums including in-person surveys, telephone interviews, mail-in surveys, and customer driven web tutorials. The KEMA software provides customers with an informative report that serves as an effective marketing channel for our clients’ programs and services.
KEMA auditors undergo extensive training, screening, and background checks before conducting in-home visits. During these visits, they often install low-cost measures such as compact fluorescent lamps, showerheads, and faucet aerators. KEMA technicians are also trained to conduct blower-door tests for infiltration and duct leakage tests.
