KEMA's 1st Utility of the Future Conference Europe & Middle East
Exploring the transition pathways towards a sustainable society
KEMA's 1st Annual Utility of the Future Conference Europe & Middle East looked at opportunities and challenges involved in transforming the energy future, amidst increasing power demand and reliability requirements, and aging infrastructure and workforces.
Energy and utility industry executives, and financial analysts and EU government officials involved in the energy sector discussed a number of questions:
- How can we profitably use and integrate renewable energy sources?
- Is there a role for carbon capture, transport, and storage in this new era?
- How will our transport and buildings become more sustainable and energy efficient?
KEMA hosted this first annual conference at the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, May 18–19, 2011.
