Negotiations Strategies for successful SGIG Projects
Roadmap for Smart Grid Investment Grant (SGIG) projects
Now that the awards have been announced, awardees need to negotiate the terms and conditions of their grants that realistically support successful implementation of the selected projects. The next key milestone for awardees is to expeditiously negotiate their grants with the DOE.
Negotiating groundwork for SGIG project implementation
KEMA helps utilities that have received notice of an SGIG award negotiate terms and conditions of their grant award. We help clients negotiate successfully with the DOE to develop realistic and attainable project milestones for the project award(s) and to define the client’s Program Management Office (PMO) framework and how it will interact with the program and/or project management structures of the utility.
Our contract negotiation support services are based on the insight and experience we have gained as a business partner to utilities engaged in smart grid investments and through our deep involvement in supporting successful SGIG applications. We assist SGIG awardees in all aspects of DOE negotiations
