The application of the CE symbol means that you may trade freely within the European Union. But freely does not mean free of commitment. When you affix CE to your product, you are declaring that your commitment to procedure complience with the relevant European directives. In other words, you are responsible for the consequences of the use of your product. But how can you be absolutely sure that your product is in compliance with these directives?
In many instances KEMA can establish with its independent expertise whether your product complies with the European criteria. Sometimes this is even compulsory. In those cases we act as Notified, Competent or Certification Body. This means, you can engage us for voluntary and obligatory tests and reviews of your product.
