This measure is based on a type test to a complete sequence of tests of the EN/IEC 60439-1, carried out according to CENELEC procedures, by KEMA. The type test is complemented by requirements focused on the assembly manufacturer regarding the quality system and assembly. Again, according to CENELEC procedures. The quality process verification is focused on the assembly manufacturer only, and leaves the original panel system manufacturer and the end user out of the scope. The standards and procedures on which KEMA-KEUR for panels are based result in a variable scope of individual certificates; for example with or without components. But effectively KEMA-KEUR is a serious step up from type test only and includes yearly inspections by KEMA staff. CENELEC certification is mainly used by European manufacturers, but KEMA makes KEMA-KEUR for panels available on a wider scale. For more information about KEMA-KEUR for panels, contact us.
