Despite the seemingly simple configuration of coaxial cables, there is a wide range of materials and designs in cables and their accessories (joints and terminations). The materials comprise metals, resins, bitumen, paper, mass, oil-filled rubber, EPR (ethylene propylene rubber), polyethylene and other polymers.
