Transportation
The KEMA transportation section ensures that test objects are transported safely to and from the test areas by means of forklift trucks or low-loaders, whichever method our customers prefer.

However, our customers are free to choose their own broker.

In both cases customs duties/charges and local transport to KEMA will be arranged by KEMA. Transportation time will be only one day. Together with customs duties, two or three days should be enough for scheduling.
For customs clearance we need the Bill of Lading and a Pro Forma Invoice stating the value (a low one) of your goods.
Please state our reference number, if possible.

Customs
A customs office is available in Arnhem for efficient clearing of customs formalities. KEMA has specialized staff to assist you in this. On request, customs officials may perform the necessary activities at the KEMA site. These formalities are generally carried out at the port of entry when it involves shipments sent by sea or air.

Shipments
The transportation section will arrange for equipment arriving in the Netherlands by sea or air to be collected at the port and transported to Arnhem as quickly as possible. At our customer’s request, the transportation section can make complete arrangements for shipment from the customer’s warehouse to KEMA and return shipment following the tests.
