The Bogota TyD-LA will be fourth edition of the IEEE Latinamerica conference of the Power Engineering Society; it will build on the tradition of excellence of the preceding conferences in Sao Paulo (2002 and 2004) and Caracas (2006). The TyD-LA is sponsored by the IEEE Power Engineering Society and will be organized by the IEEE Colombia Section.

KEMA participates activily in the IEEE T&D 2008 Latinamerica Transmission and Distribution Conference & Exposition 2008. KEMA Bogotá Office Director Renato Céspedes is the Chairman of this important regional event, has lead the efforts of organizing this important conference to be held between August 12 to 15 in Bogotá, Colombia with the slogan " Regional Integration with Reliable and Efficient Power Systems". This conference has attracted more than 200 authors of papers from 26 countries and numeorus lead exhibitors that will present their latest developments and innovations. KEMA will also participate with Mr. Robert Wilhite´s keynote presentation "Smarter Grids for a Smarter Planet" and 6 important papers related to recent projects developments, asset management and demand side management
