ENEC is the European Mark for lighting equipment and related products, which is used to demonstrate compliance with European safety standards. It’s open to all European manufacturers who have implemented a quality management system based on the ISO 9000 series of standards. Does the extended scope apply to your products?

This certification system has now been extended to include LED drivers – the electronics which power and control the LEDs in lighting systems. These drivers are critical to the safety and power efficiency of all such systems. The testing regime is based on two safety standards, namely EN 61347-1 for general safety requirements relating to lamp control gear, and EN 61347-2-13 for LED drivers). EN 62384, the LED driver performance standard, is also part of the program.
