KEMA Quality is now listed in the IAOB Certification Bodies database
As of October 25th 2004, KEMA Quality B.V. is formally
accredited and authorized to perform quality management system
audits against ISO/TS 16949:2002 and to issue IATF (International
Automotive Task Force) recognized certificates. ISO/TS 16949:2002 contains the specific requirements for the
application of ISO 9001:2000 for automotive production and relevant
service parts organizations. Organizations supplying parts and/or
materials to the automotive industry are required to be in
compliance with ISO/TS 16949:2002. Clients could always go to KEMA to obtain a TS registration, but
because KEMA itself was not accredited to issue it, it cooperated
with IQnet partner QMI to obtain accreditation. Now KEMA itself is
responsible for the entire process: from acquisition to
certification. For that matter, as of December 15th 2004 it will
also be a condition of IATF. KEMA Quality is now listed in the IAOB (International Automotive
Oversight Board) Certification Bodies database: www.iaob.org.
