At the World Energy Congress, Italian Prime Minister Mr. Prodi visited the Dutch Pavilion to speak about the Dutch gas turbine and other activities. One of the participants is KEMA. The Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi opened the 20th World Energy Congress (WEC) in Rome on 11 november. After the opnening ceremony Mr. Prodi, some ministers and other leading Italian authorities made a short tour through the five exhibition halls at the Nuovo Feira di Roma. During his tour, Mr. Prodi visited the Dutch Pavilion. He was informed by Mr. Mom of the Dutch Gas Turbine Association about the Dutch participants and their activities. Mr. Prodi showed a lot of interest in the high level of Dutch representation and expressed that he was pleased to meet the Dutch companies. Multi-energy
The World Energy Council (WEC) is the foremost multi-energy organisation in the world today. WEC has members committees in 94 countries, including most of the largest energy producing and energy-consuming countries. Established in 1923, the organization covers all types of energy, including coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear, hydro and renewables. Every three years WEC organizes the World Energy Congress widely recognized as the world's premier multi-energy event. In 2004 Sydney, Australia hosted the WEC. After Rome this year the 21st WEC will be held in Montreal, Canada.
