Product quality The manufacturer’s ISO certificate relates to the internal organization, rather than to the physical quality of a particular product for a given project. International standards and client-specific requirements cover the physical quality of a product. Since physical quality cannot be addressed by general process certification of the project in total, quality assessment and monitoring of a given project is required. ISO 8402 - Quality Surveillance According to ISO 8402 the quality surveillance is a continual monitoring and verification of the status of project and analysis of records to ensure the specified requirements are being fulfilled.
