BladeLife: Prediction of real life expenditure of gas turbine blades
The BladeLife concept deals with the development of life expenditure models for the 1st stage gas turbine blades. The life expenditure models can help with the decision whether a 1st stage should be exchanged or can operate for another year. Life expenditure is based on fatigue, creep and coating degradation mechanisms due to actual operational conditions. BladeLife has allready been applied on the 1st stage gas turbine blades of:- Alstom 13E2
- GE Frame 3, 5, 6 and 9FA
