Welding new and old materials
For lifetime extension of an installation partly old ‘used’ parts are to be replaced. In some cases it is attractive apply new developed materials. New and old materials need to welded, while the materials have different compositions. For decades we have gained experience with different materials and different welding techniques for heavy loaded components. This knowledge is available in KEMA’s materials knowledge database. With this knowledge we can give you the right advice for the most suitable and reliable joints.
