Your situation

You, as an electricity company, have concluded a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with an Independent Power Producer (IPP). Or you are financing the construction of a power plant. Before starting the project and concluding contracts with contractors or developers we will draw up, in co-operation with you, a programme of requirements the plant will have to adhere to. You will want to know the financial consequences and the environmental impact. You want the best and most affordable technology and last but not least, you want the most reliable power production.

Do you opt for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, or a turnkey contract? And how do you think about Power purchase Agreements (PPA), Build-Own-Transfer (BOT) or Build-Own-Operate (BOO), fuel supply contracts and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contracts? You will have to take quite a few important decisions. KEMA, as the owner’s engineer, will assist you in taking these decisions and will take much work off your hands.
