Reduction of CO emissions from waste incineration plants
The Dutch government has recently tightened the rules on CO emissions, obliging many businesses to invest further to ensure compliance. Various approaches can be used to reduce CO emissions from a boiler. Examples include:- Temelli beam
- Prism beam (Seghers)
- FCC (VS&H)
- ECOTube
- Tetratube (NEM).
With all these systems, secondary air is effectively returned to the boiler. KEMA has experience with all the options and can advise you on the most efficient solution. We offer support in areas such as:- technical realization
- capital cost assessment
- operational impact forecasting.
For more information, please contact us. In some cases, expensive modification of a boiler (e.g. conversion from a contraflow type to a parallel flow type) can result in lower CO emissions. Here again, KEMA can assist, by providing you with a second opinion on your plans.
