Maximum waste processing against minimum environmental impact
Residues
After refinement and certification, bottom ashes can be sold as materials for civil engineering applications. KEMA provides certification services to nine of the eleven waste incineration plants in the Netherlands. Our certificates serve as evidence that the bottom ashes comply with the requirements of the Building Materials Decree.
Environment
The preparation of an environmental impact statement (EIS) is a crucial element of the procedure for obtaining a permit for a process or production plant. EISs inform decision-making in relation to activities that have potentially serious implications for the environment. In its role as an independent consultant, KEMA has built up considerable experience with the preparation of EISs for projects in fields such as energy supply, biomass and waste processing, residue reuse, other industrial processes and policy planning.
