Cool power production
The worse of power production is that a large amount of energy is spilled by cooling. Exhaust steam is being condensed in a condenser. This condenser is cooled with:- surface water
- ambient air
- a combination of both.
An air cooled condeser has disadvantages in size and cooling capacity and efficiency. The great advantage is that it can be placed anywhere. It is even THE solution where it concerns sites where the surface water already faces a large thermal load.
KEMA has extensive experience with the application of air cooled condensers at municipal waste incineration and power plants. Core competences are:- process insight and knowledge

During construction KEMA acts as owner's representative and has the supervision from desing via engineering ans construction up till commissioning. Based on it's experstise KEMA is often asked to act as a mediator for binding advices in disputes between the owner and contractor. Principles have often a large impact on the project with hudge financial consequences.
