Location and team

KEMA Gas Consulting & Services is involved in all its clients’ business processes, in many ways. The consequences of the changing legislation, increasing concern for operational excellence, and expansion and revitalization of the gas infrastructure are important challenges in these efforts. Initially, the account manager gas will primarily work in Europe and the U.S.

The department Gas Infrastructure & Transport is part of the unit KEMA Gas Consulting & Services. A part of this department is working on issues related to Condition Monitoring and Corrosion Control of gas infrastructure.

Tasks

As a reseracher Coatings and Corrosion you are responsible for conducting research projects and providing consultancy to clients in the Oil and Gas industry. Your research is dedicated towards assessing and improving the integrity of (above- or underground) gas infrastructure. This involves activities such as:
• Research of pipeline coatings (degradation mechanisms, adhesion, material properties, application procedures, Quality of Control etc.)
• Development and testing of inspection techniques to assess the quality and performance of coatings
• Investigation of new coatings with improved performance for specific conditions
• Research and evaluation of new and existing technologies in the field of coatings and corrosion

What we're asking

• Practical experience (≥ 5 years) in the area of pipeline coatings and corrosion
• Established network in the industry
• Good balance between technical and commercial skills
• Academic/Technical background: Physics, Chemistry or Technical Chemistry (Chemical Technology), Materials Science or other relevant background
• Fluent English required
• Good communication, presentation and writing skills
• Team player, ability to work in teams
• Flexibility to travel internationally when required
